# Getting Started with Agencio Predict

Welcome! This guide will help you set up your account and take your first steps with the platform.

## Creating Your Account

### Step 1: Sign Up
1. Visit the platform and click **Sign Up**
2. Enter your email address
3. Create a strong password (minimum 12 characters recommended)
4. Verify your email address

### Step 2: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
We strongly recommend enabling MFA immediately:

1. Go to **Settings > Security**
2. Click **Enable MFA**
3. Choose your method:
   - **Authenticator App** (recommended) — Use Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar
   - **SMS** — Receive codes via text message
4. Scan the QR code or enter the setup key
5. Enter the verification code to confirm

MFA is **required** for paper trading and live trading.

### Step 3: Choose Your Plan
Select the plan that fits your needs:

| **Pro** | Active traders | Full AI access, paper trading, alerts |
| **Enterprise** | Teams | Multi-user, custom integrations, priority support |

You can upgrade anytime from **Settings > Subscription**.

## Exploring the Platform

### Two Access Modes

**Dashboard Mode** (Full Interface)
- Complete navigation sidebar
- All features accessible
- Best for: Daily use, configuration, analysis

**Terminal Mode** (Console Only)
- Bloomberg-style terminal interface
- Keyboard-focused navigation
- Best for: Focused trading, multi-monitor setups

Switch between modes using the toggle in the top navigation.

## Setting Up AI Features

### Option 1: Platform Credits (Easiest)
Your subscription includes AI credits for:
- Pattern analysis
- Stock Hunter scans
- Trading strategy suggestions
- Research reports

Check your credit balance in **Settings > Billing**.

### Option 2: Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
For unlimited AI usage, connect your own Anthropic API key:

1. Create an account at [Anthropic Console](https://console.anthropic.com)
2. Generate an API key
3. In Agencio, go to **Settings > AI Configuration**
4. Paste your API key and click **Save**
5. Your key is encrypted and stored securely

**Cost estimate**: ~$0.01-0.05 per analysis, ~$1.08 per full research report

## Your First Actions

### 1. Explore the Dashboard
- View market indicators and sentiment
- Check trending prediction markets
- See AI-generated insights

### 2. Try the Console
- Press `Tab` to cycle through data feeds
- Use keyboard shortcuts for quick navigation
- Customize which widgets appear

### 3. Set Up Alerts
1. Go to **Patterns > Alerts**
2. Click **New Alert**
3. Choose a symbol and condition
4. Select notification method (push, email, or both)

### 4. Run a Stock Hunter Scan
1. Go to **Markets > Stock Hunter**
2. Choose a preset (e.g., "Tech Leaders" or "Dividend Kings")
3. Click **Scan**
4. Review AI-generated recommendations

## Security Best Practices

### Account Security
- Use a unique, strong password
- Enable MFA immediately
- Don't share your login credentials
- Review active sessions periodically in **Settings > Security**

### API Keys
- Never share your API keys
- Use paper trading keys for testing
- Rotate keys periodically
- All credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM

### Session Management
- Sessions expire after 60 minutes of inactivity (configurable)
- Terminal mode has longer timeout (8 hours default)
- You can view and revoke sessions in **Settings > Security**

## Understanding Execution Modes

Everyone starts in **Mock Mode** with $100,000 in virtual funds.

### Mock Mode
- Simulated trading environment
- Practice strategies risk-free
- Instant "fills" at current prices
- No real money involved

### Paper Mode
- Real market data and realistic execution
- Simulated slippage and timing
- Track performance metrics
- Requires MFA enabled

### Live Mode
- Real trades with real money
- Connected to your brokerage account
- Full platform safeguards active
- Requires: MFA + broker connection + admin approval

**Progression Path**: Mock → Paper (30 days, 50+ trades) → Live (approval required)
